Charming Cairo
Khan-el-Khalili
Next day, we went on a quick round of the Khan-el-Khalili, which is one of the great bazaars of the world, and spent three happy hours examining various trinkets and odds and ends, while spending some time at the Naguib Mahfouz café owned by the Oberoi group. If you are a great bargainer, the Khan, as it is called by the Cairenes, is the place for you. You can find all kinds of knick knacks at reasonable prices, so take your time to shop around. Silver, gold, papyrus, spices, and all kinds of exotica are available here.
After lunch and a quick tour around the museum by ourselves for the second time, it was time to go on to the airport. And thus ended one of the most memorable and wonderful holidays ever.
